  • Canadian Citizenship Granted to Over 100,000 People This Year

This is over twice the number who were approved for Canadian citizenship during the same time period last year. During all of 2013, Canadian citizenship was granted to 128,996 foreign nationals from 219 countries, which means that 2014 is likely to see significantly more people become new citizens of Canada than last year.
